Rossz csillag alatt született [samples]

Postby Havok » Fri Sep 19, 2008 12:51 am

not a venetian hate thread or whatever the fuck. Just I bought a Tchaikovsky CD the other day and Im pretty sure Venetian sampled this on the album. I think its from Szamár Madár [my favourite track on the album to be fair]

Tchaikovsky - Marche Slave, Op. 31

Szamár Madár

pretty similar?

anyhow the point of the thread...can anyone find any more?

[I think Szamár Madár samples Elgar pretty heavily, so there may be a starting point...or has the vodka kicked in by now?! actually I was smoking a spliff while sat on a statue dedicated to him today (im in Hereford atm)....so if it is.....weird]

anyway

EZ n happy sample hunting

The album also samples various pieces of classical music:

* The first movement of Béla Bartók's fourth string quartet, in track two.
* The second of Igor Stravinsky's "3 Pieces for Clarinet", in track five.
* The first and third measure of the fourth movement of Bartók's sixth string quartet, in track six.
* Sir Edward Elgar's "Cello Concerto in E Minor, Op. 85", in track eight.
* Niccolò Paganini's 7th Caprice in A minor, in track five.

Yeah, I've been hearing bits and pieces of stuff in movies. Was watching August Rush a couple weeks back - one of the songs played on that movie was sampled on the album.

Most of Rossz was sampled, while My Downfall was entirely composed by him. Mirite?

yeah, which is why my downfall sounds pretty bad imo

i think mr snares should study a bit about classical composition and orchestral sequencing before he attempts another string-core record. both pink+green and detrimentalist were a lot better than the string records because it was vsnares doing what he does best: destroying jungle music.

Definitely, BUT. At the same time, one of his best orchestral songs (in my opinion) came out of Detrimentalist. Miss Balaton.... although it's mostly synth and breaks, a major part of it was in the strings and brass.

I dunno, I think he has the skill to produce classical, but the shitty VST instrument sounds definitely hinder his ability to make it sound as good as his other stuff.

HA HA HA HA!
Far From It I Would Say.
It Wasn't Bad But It Was Pretty Much "Breakcore Light" If You Ask Me.
Not Hard Or Heavy In Any Fashion But I Never Really Expect Heavy/Hard Things From Ol' Snares. I Just Expect Him To Get More Pretentious.
