First time I saw Ichi the Killer I thought it was pretty gross, now its just a seriously dark comedy to me...
Re: Stephen King movie adaptations - The Shining was pretty good. Christine sucked compared to the book.
Even though its not really horror, theres a zombie film released on Tartan Asia Extreme called Versus which is pretty damn entertaining.

i dont think ive ever been scared by a film, but then again i used to watch freddie kruger when i was proper young and lol at it. i quite like twisted, sick films that fuck with your brain, good stuff

actually, the only time a video made me scared/sick etc was watching a documentary channel of a nephrectomy (kidney removal). i have no qualms watchin shit like this but this video took it too far, considering i had a kidney out 10 or so years ago. watchin them cut the person like a fish then get the clamp on :oops:

i was tensing up, and had to, for the one time in my life, turn the channel over.

as for these shite films coming out now with 1000000000x more blood then the last, they suck. theres no emotion on the watchers part, and most of it is for show. good scary films are silence of the lambs and hannibal films. keeps your imagination going rather than showing some wanker spray ketchup everywhere pretenting to have just been cut up

i would have to say the scariest movies for me are

"hell raiser part 2"
and i really cant think of any others that really scare me any more. i really liked silent hill also but i think of it more as and artistical fear induced drama than horror. as some one said in a previous post the orphanage is also a great movie. might i suggest you also watch donnie darko pans labrynth, and a requiem for a dream. all great movies

^I wanna see it! Been meaning to for a while, to see how different The Ring is. I'm actually a big fan of that one though, even given how 'Americanized' I'm sure it is in comparison.

Anyway, downloading now... I'll be sure to comment back what I think about it.

but actually none of these films are scary. they could be pretty scary, when you was a kid.
when i was a kid i got shit-craps from x-files, yea i did. now when i would watch it, it would be boring, forced, pseudo-shit-crap. just lawl.
but lynch movies could freak out anybody. have anyone of you seen the 'abc' short-film. faqqin disturbing!
well if you are properly trippin on paper, probably every violent film could scare the shit out of most people. has anyone tried it that way?
