i keep meaning to dig into final cut but my macbook overheats every time i open it!! might have to get a cooling pad, as your video proves it's worth it

Actually, you don't need final cut to do such editings, in fact, I think final cut sucks really hard (I'm serious here) I would love to do my video editing with a software that has an approach closer to renoise (again, 100% serious)

Anyway, I still manage to do the job with final cut.

btw, I really like your avatar.

and forget video editing on a laptop.. it's close to impossible, you need a bigger screen and a faster computer for rendering.

@JBL:: a video tracker... that would be insane. thanks for the tips. i'll stick with music on the macbook, i'm sure that will save me a lot of headaches. i do what little vid work i do in ableton live, which i'm pretty sure was a feature thrown in as an afterthought.

I didn't know ableton could do video editing.. I really should get more into ableton, I'm sure it's the right tool for me.

and yes, stick with ableton, final cut is really not all that great.. its just that after paying about 1500$ people won't claim that what they bought sucks. Final cut sure does the job done and is very powerful, but the interface is completely flawed. They made video editing annoying to do unless you have a 30 inch screen. When I make videos, half the time is spent into messing with annoying final cut details such as the resolution (view) of the time line and other crap like that.
