just because a song is in an odd time signature does not mean that it's good music. The majority of recorded music in odd times tends to suck, because composers are focusing too much on "pushing the envelope". Aaron Funk typically writes in odd meters, but he's MUSICAL about it. Frusciante is an amazing musician, and such a collaboration would be insane.

im sure steve vai would be up for it

im pretty sure that there would be waaaay too many long-haired men onstage for that. people would think that it was the 80s again.

Oh Hell yeah. Wasn't there an Isis EP where Snares and Patton remixed different tracks? Probably the closest they'll ever get to each other, unfortunately.

I got the new Last STep album (1961) a week ago, It is funky as fuck, very, very good, not mad heavy or anything but the acid jazz feel is sick, I reckon that is more or less what JF and AF are gonna sound like together.

I have a link for a rapidshare download file for it from a russian website, if anyone wants it,

(edit and link removed)
"This is a small scene and every little bit counts."

Apologies John Merrik or Pep if this is "not cool"
just memes and donks these days

it it wonderful to think that venetian snares jams with a man from a band who were only recently THE biggest band in the world... he's like breakcore's obama.

No way, Frusciante is way more interesting. Chilli peppers stuff is boring as shit, but if you really listen to his playing it is really technical yet sounds simplistic, perfect for their music. listen to him playing with the mars volta and you will see he is a very interesting musician.

I cant wait for this personally!
Give me fucking broken beats and im a happy man
