pretty glad actually 3 sets would put me off the snares for life..

i can almost guarantee that you will be disapointed when you see aphex, from his recent live sets that i have heard from him he hasn't dropped any of his tracks in a while, he pretty much just gets paid to dj other peoples tracks, the highlihgt might be that he drops some Current Value in his set at the end.

yeah - i saw him a few years backk and he just played bits of paper and industrial drill and distortion noises for an hour - not one tune of his or anyone else.. not really bothered about seeing him though as the rest of the line up is fucking awesome and i'll be too mashed to listen anyway..

.. take a look... http://www.blocweekend.com/home.html

as long as i see ital tek, ebola, otto, exile, bizzy b,ceephax, devine, a load of dubstep and maybe a bit of carl craig then ii'll be happy - apx can lick me balls

Damn! Here in Germany aren´t much Breakcore Partys. I´d never seen him, but his Music even Rocks me. It would interests me how he`s working on da floor.

I've not see Aphex before, and am going to Bloc so I reckon I'll be happy with whatever he plays there.

I'm going to be seeing Aphex(hope he will play his own music), Squarepusher AND Venetian snares live all on 1 festival. I'm really looking forward to it. From what I've seen on teh Utubez I won't be dissapointed about the Snaresman. I saw squarepusher live last year and I loved it!

yea, great n all, but how many DJs would get away with only playing their own tracks? arrogant, as well as grumpy, fucker. most punters seem to think he's playing live as well because of this. i think that's a bit lame...

When you're as good as he is- you only play your own tracks. Thats the point. He comes across as arrogant, and yes, grumpy, but he's an artist. In real life he's a really, really sound person, a really nice guy. I love him!

i dunno, iv seen him twice now and iv gotta say that whats on his cds sounds very different than what i hear live, as iv seen, its usually fucked up beyond recognition and it sounds good that way

i would say he was pretty good live but then again i havnt seen many other breakcore artists live so im not so sure that comment holds much stature

I saw him play a really small venue that was packed almost to the back. It was a tatoo shop that turns into a sort of club once a month. There were so many freaks in there that it was fucking hot and there was condensation all over the roof, and for some reason, his decks malfunctioned a few times and everybody screamed "NOOOOOOOO!" and shit. But he made it work and he made it work pretty well, and it was one of the best shows I've seen, despite the fact that the cops broke it up by the time he was done, while a junglist was playing some jungle.

A lot of the material was stuff I'd never heard before, with wierd acid basslines and shit in it.

Sometimes people will have good days and sometimes people will have bad days. A person can't say someone's live show sucks if they've only seen them play once or twice.

He's supposed to be playing tomorrow in Vancouver, but I decided not to go because Vancouver is far from here and I am poor.
