How is it free music if you gotta pay for it? also i belive all music should be free. Soul seek used to be free , so i was fucking suprised to see that you gotta pay for it. So fuck you if you make music for money.
dont come moaning at me, When you blatantly download music yourself.

hahaha, well done.. you broke my sentence down nicely there.. if were playing that game, i technicaly simply asked for you to confirm what you were moaning about. You just went and jumped on your high horse, it actualy sound quite rehearsed tbh
and ofcourse you believe all music should be free, you made that point pretty clear. Its your 'belief' and that makes it okay
if i made music for money i certainly wouldnt be making the music i do

Where on the slsk website does it say you have to pay?
All I see is "Soulseek(tm) is a unique ad-free, spyware free, and just plain free file sharing application."

Let's not whack our E-willies out and chuff over the pros and cons of file sharing, too many folk on here share music to want to delve in to yet another obligatory forum argument. Soulseek is still free from what I can see, I know that some time ago a fake Soulseek install was knocking about which was actually a virus/spyware/malware/whatever, but the real Soulseek (obtainable from http://www.slsknet.org/download.html) is still free. Soulseek is too 'underground' to strike deals with all the record labels or industrialy representative bodies concerned by its' file sharing activities, I highly doubt it's going to transform in to Napster overnight. Download it, make sure you share plenty of music and support the musicians whom you appreciate (either financially or by any other means that you see fit).

I love SoulSeek, its a real guilty pleasure though. I feel smug that I've got it, and you might not get it, it never/sometimes/always lets me down, but yeah, it's free= my favourite price.
Going back to the undercurrent of the thread though, I believe you should pay for music, but not all of it. How's this for a theory: Free anything pre-1990, everyone pays a price relative to the ninety's - current. Cos there's loads of rich older cunts making money off royalties anyway, they're all old, and the younger, (generally) less established cats need the money to keep going. I can't believe this 24K gold just pours out of my brain cells.
Bang on.
oh, and i will share library with other IHBr's too if anyone wants to.

How about you just pay for the music you enjoy, and delete the stuff that you didn't enjoy, that way everyone's a winner. Balls to the whole "work" shite, if you consider your music a job then you're probably not churning out the sort of material that music lovers want to emmerse themselves in. Music should be fun, it should be an outlet, not a laborious job. This is Breakcore not fucking U2.

thats pretty much my belief.. just wound me up a bit that someone wouldnt even pay/donate for a software the gave u a universe of music for free.. id also been ripped off by 1 promoter that morning and was pretty bitter.. as i still am tbh.
people taking the piss out of artists is an absolute joke, its hard to not take personaly when a promoter or label owner etc screws u over. i dont understand it.. i know iv drifted from subject but it just caught me at a bad time.. frustrating isnt the word.. like i said if i did all this for cash i wouldnt be writing the music i do which makes it all the more personal when u get ripped off by people you think are of the same mindset.
