I Hate Breakcore

So i've been thinking about breakcore lately. I hate breakcore, i do, but this music is shit. Let's be honest- most of breakcore IS shit. There are few really awesome tracks. Maybe epic tracks are good name for them. I would say Szycag for it's complexity, maybe Tyrant! or Eater of Worlds (cheers Divtech), maybe some other tracks. But most of breakcore is donkeyass. I belive, breakcore is dying. And it need to die. It evolves. There is more and more dubstep (it's shit too, even if i liek it. Almost all producers sound same), also some breakcore is going more idmish last time. I belive that oldskool breakcore will die sooner or later. Breakcore is no longer shocking(?) as it was, people are getting bored, because less and less tracks are fresh.

Without sounding dismissive I said this not so long ago. I feel that Breakcore has - in some ways - become stagnant. It's all very similar and lacks any real punch.

I will always <3 it though & there are a few producers out there keeping it alive. More needs to be done though, you're right.

There's loads of exciting new Breakcore, most people aren't prepared to listen to bedroom producers though. Loads of people are sitting around waiting for a recognisable Ragga jungle tune, they're not prepared to try something new. There's still loads of new stuff lurking about, just give the newer artists a chance.

Seriously, FUCK genres. Get out of it now. You wouldn't make posts like this.

Good music will always give back. In the end, anything can go down in the mix. That's what um.. "breakcore" was about right?

I just call it all bass music. If it rumbles, its on.

I dont know, Breakcore is the love of my life. But I get used to the same Duran Duran Duran track al the time.
What we need is that breakcore wil be wat it used to be.... a colection of fast drums, hardcore, noise and filth.
Give me more of Kirdec and fuck the new stuf Sickboy makes. I want to go beserk on somting fresh and fucking strong.

I not thining in genres. Breakcore isn't music genre for me. There are some real genres, like rap etc. But most genres are just stupid, nothin sayin limitations

I agree, when any type of music, style, trend gets to a point it begins to lose its origionality. As long as breakcore stays dead, it will forever live (forgive my logic)
I hear so much crap from people in europe where breakcore actually exists about how its dying, but face it, most people are bored with same stuff over and over that the big producers there are comin up with. Where i live, i know personally only one other person that knew of breakcore before i, and it has spread a bit, and in the small community it thrives in its origionality outside of "mainstream" breakcore's dying influence

imagine breakcore as a hippy commune, if it gets too big or trendy, it dies, everyone gets sick of thier political activism and their need to be different or morally driven in its lack of originality and they all go home and get a job

Breakcore was for hardcoreness and being fresh. Many people are gettin pissed by breakcore, because it's isn't fresh anymore. We wanted something underground. I mean really underground. Fucked up stuff. And breakcore is fucked up. But we are used to it allready. It's isn't fucked up anymore for breakcore listners. It's just more like casual music. And that's why it's dying. We are used to breakcore. Slowly this music won't be fucked up for anyone. We allready can hear some idmishnes in rap or even pop music. Music is going to be more and more fucked up. And then breakcore will die. Or it will live, but it be well known. But again, it will kill breakcore i think. Popbreakcore?

wow i think everyone cares just a wee bit too much about this "fresh" and new shit, unless you know yourself what fresh and new is and make it, and its good and fresh and NEW. then everyone else can do it too, to death, until someone else comes along and says, urgh this is lame, I want something FRESH and NEW. This fresh and new shit you're talking about won't be breakcore at all.
