For me somthing fresh and new stuf is just: 1 shomting I dont know and have heard. 2 a realease I want to buy from my favrith artists.
I mean I dident like the last 2 Sickboy albums and the last track Duran3x maked is no use to me.
Its more a frustration abouth that ther are ( to my feelings) not so much realy good whowwww..... records coming outh.

Fresh, new... bah, those words don't exist.
The future is built on the past. Today is just yesterday thinking about tomorrow.

Instruments and techniques have progressed music to where it is now. Acoustic has given way to electric. Electric was re-hashed with studio recording tricks. Studio recording tricks have been pushed to the point of no limitations with computer processing. And computer processing has given way to... ah, right, that's the best we have right now.

In the 1900's it wouldn't have been possible to make the bizarre sounds that can now be created in a fraction of a second. And that's the problem. Sound waves are finite. Computers can draw any waveform, even ones that can't exist in nature. It's not enough to rely on the technology because it sounds "new" or to define it as "new" because of the sounds used. We need to focus on the arrangement or perhaps the combinations of sounds to move things forward.

Breakcore was for hardcoreness and being fresh. Many people are gettin pissed by breakcore, because it's isn't fresh anymore. We wanted something underground. I mean really underground. Fucked up stuff. And breakcore is fucked up. But we are used to it allready. It's isn't fucked up anymore for breakcore listners. It's just more like casual music. And that's why it's dying. We are used to breakcore. Slowly this music won't be fucked up for anyone. We allready can hear some idmishnes in rap or even pop music. Music is going to be more and more fucked up. And then breakcore will die. Or it will live, but it be well known. But again, it will kill breakcore i think. Popbreakcore?

Interesting point u have here, never thought about it this way (the "breakcore isn't hardcore anymore now that we're used to it" part), so we grew an immunization ? let's just increase the dosage !

Seriously, my humble opinion is that breakcore is about breaking the rules, so far i still find it hard to describe breakcore as a genre, especially to people that dont know dick about it, this kinda shows that even though its gettin more codified ( not that much if u think of it, i mean except the breakcore appellation artists like say...toecutter and xanopticon haven't much in common) and starts to be well known among people interested in music in general, it still remains largely a sub-culture...
and come on we're still million years away of having breakcore artists on mtv or in american idol

I was just trying to be ironic man. putting labels in music is not a way of treating music. yes we may need them to categorize and therefore to be searched and found much more easily but then putting labels in labels is the dumbest thing you can you.
I mean... breakcore is breakcore... venetian, bong-ra, xanopticon or donna summer they are all breakcore artists but musically they don't have much in common except from the fact that it's all "extreme" music. Extreme Not for us... but extreme to the public.
AFX for fuck's sake can make a breakcore track that shouldn't lead to categorize him as a breakcore artist... it's stupid imo.

i agree with this to b honest. Theres always good stuff coming out but you have to filter through the bullshit and be prepared to listen to bedroom producers, i listen to producers who are not well known as much as i listen to producers who are well known. You can be inspired by so many different sounds and styles if you keep your mind open.

its like any genre, you just gotta actively seek out the good stuff. either that or you gotta make what you think it should be and stop bitching about how shitty other producers are.

i think folks are just getting burned out on "let's see how many noises we can sequence together." it's gotta change or die, just like punk rock or anything else for that matter. i say if you want to be shocking, take everything that you learned from making breakcore do something danceable and fun.

You can make noise that sounds good, or you can make noise that sounds like rubbish. I think to many producers are attempting to push the envelope with structure to the point where it's not even music. The likes of Xanopticon already took us there. Pretty much straight to the edge of what you can get away with before it becomes complete rubbish.

People forget about the fundamentals of what good production is, in lieu of trying to be the most extreme. I believe this is where alot of the rubbish comes from.

There are so many sounds and utilities out there that anyone should be able to create great and original music, and develop their own sound without alienating potential listeners

I don't know, just a few cents I guess. Breakcore is like a secret society over here in the states right now. It's pretty damn cool if you ask me..
