i feel you, but see what i like to do in these situations is study other peoples music and see how they go about processing sounds, do some research and try to make some synths.

sound designing is fun once you get the basics down.

My music collection is defiantly a bit stale now you mention it, need some new tunes!! I may concentrate a learning to write code for a bit.

And there's a Mr. Scruff gig coming up!

Plus I could kill to birds with on stone with the fucking animals, could do it in a police station to make it even quicker!!!

P.s any decent reading material on sound design, its something I've only covered briefly.
