which programs would you guys recommend to download and get familiar with to start work on my own tracks?

fruity loops is pretty easy to use and it has enough internal hidden abilities that you can almost always find something new you can do with it
-lots of great internal synths and sounds

my personal favorite is ableton, i believe its better at sequencing sampled sounds together, makes it incredibly easy, however, i find that i dont like its internal sounds as much as many from fl

i believe there is a demo for both in the dl section
