[HARDSTYLE]
Any one listen to hardstyle?! i go through constant stages of listning to it getting bored then listning to it again..so i guess you could say im quite into my hardstyle..not as much as breakcore of course.
Was wondering if anyone knew any good websites releating to the hardstyle scene, downloads that sort of thing?

Yes!!
I can find 100 things i hate about hardstyle.
Yet i still like to listen to it every now and then (in small doses)
The same thing could be said about my relationship with french house
Try Gabber.od for downloads.

I like Abyss and Judge - The Vision, but most of the hardstyle i've heard isn't that hard. Plus, all the album covers have stupid fucking sports cars on them, which is Barry language for "this compilation is for dickheads".
I think I prefer Jumpstyle to be honest.

I guess it's just a subgenre, but with a bit more Belgium in it. It's subtle differences mostly, it tends to use squared off kicks a little more, which are shortened so that there is some empty space on the offbeat (whereas gabber often uses ringing squares which have a shit load of sustain on them). Jumpstyle also tends to use loads of sound effects for stabs and short synths that don't always make up a cheesy melody. Obviously there are exceptions to this, i'm sure wikipedia can give you a more accurate definition.

Have to say...i do find that with hardstyle you can find a lot to download but a lot of it has this sort of cheap deafulty feel to it, that gets very boring especially if it involves cheesy synths. But Also i do find that you find some really bangin morish hardstyle with stylish melodies and synths..just a mater of finding the good shit just like everything else i guess.

I'm listening to a Lisa Lashes Extreme Euphoria mix as I type this. Not quite hardstyle, more hard trance. Same level of cheesiness though I guess.
I don't really like what hardstyle I've found so far.
