you know like things, gotta hobby?

i don't really have an interest or a hobby out side of music, the last thing i remember collecting was pogs or music from bands i liked . . . before the internet.

i kinda wish i had a hobby of some type that would acquire me to be interested in something so intensely that i became a fanatic collector

movies?

collectors items stamps memorabilia?

I used to collect comic books and CDs, before the internet. I had around a thousand discs and 14 longboxes of comics. The CDs went with the discovery of MP3...then I found out that you can download comics too, and I was starting to get really into making music, so I sold my collection on ebay for gear money. I have more comics (and music, obviously) in digital form than I ever had physically...everything I ever owned or wanted to own, even stuff that I was only mildly interested in. It's actually a big relief to not have that huge collection to take care of anymore...it was a pain in the ass every time I had to move, and was starting to take up too much space. It's also very refreshing to not be limited by preconceived notions of what is worth spending money on. Leads to all kinds of fun new discoveries that never would have been made otherwise.

I'm just starting to get into the european comics, and just barely finished downloading Metabarons. I started out on Marvel stuff like X-Men and Micronauts, Epic Illustrated, Dreadstar etc, then began to follow everything Frank Miller did, which eventually led to DC and Dark Horse, Alan Moore, Preacher, etc. I have whole collections of stuff just waiting to be read, like Powers, Savage Sword Of Conan, Swamp Thing, Animal Man, Y The Last Man, 100 Bullets, to name a few, and a ton of various graphic novels. Lately I've been enjoying the Jonah Hex stuff from Vertigo. It's now just a matter of what I'm going to spend the time on, since money is no longer a concern.

I don't remember.

I remember i used to collect stuff, but can't put my finger on it.

When i was like 9-10 i had a stamp collection, but that never exceeded 50 stamps, i think i might have collected about eveything you can collect as a kid, but lost interest in like 2 weeks. 8)

I collect vinyl for listening/DJing, tons of cd's. I also collect manga and books and even started down the dark road of coffee table art books. Then I have the habbit of collecting video games from time to time. When I was a weee lil rtificial I collected rocks and still have my collection someplace. Sometimes I'll collect asian cinema, anime, horror flicks on DVD.

I seem to have a bit of a problem collecting watches, hats and band/label/graphic design t-shirts.

As for digital collecting, I used to rip/save game sprites that I liked for some odd reason. Then lost em all thanks to a HD crash....yippie!

i sometimes like to crate dig for the world's worst records, but record blogs have sort of made that easier, yet less rewarding.

i bought some bob hope stamps the other day but i intend to use them to mail letters, so that probably doesn't count... sorry bob

I collect Ultimate Fighter on my hard drive every week after someone uploads it to the net for me. Aside from that, Martial arts is my hobbie, but I don't exactly collect it. Pretty much music and films/tv for me.
