I Hate Breakcore

Everyone has been to bad shows i presume, bad venue, bad sound, nazi crowd etc etc so tell me about the worst show you´ve ever been too!

I`ll go first:

Punk show in stockholm, the place was ridden with mold, the toilets were overflowing (shit and piss ALL OVER THE FLOOR) and the crowd was 90 % nazis, i got my ass kicked and then the cops busted the place. The best part is: THIS WAS BEFORE ANY OF THE BANDS HAD EVEN STARTED PLAYING!!!

Worst show ive been to was playing 10 euros to see drop the lime and being utterly outraged when he played a hour long set of wobble bass electro house nonsense! Also one party which was in a squat, they had a really good line up and great sound system but the building was 'structurally unsound' and started to fall apart during the first set. Needless to say they stopped the party when bricks started falling out of one of the walls!

The worst shows i've ever been to are the shitty raves in the woods that suck off bland d'n'b for nine hours flat. In terms of paid gigs i'm not sure that i've ever been dissapointed, i've seen random shit from British Sea Power and Silver Apples to Bryan Fury and Igor, all great. I guess the 'party' atmosphere at bangface weekender kinda blows; too many quirky prats in fancy dress who aren't familier with any of the artists at all, just blew 150 quid to turn up, faff around with some poi bollocks, wear some absolutely whacky and zany outifts like, oh i dunno, green hats or something equally as MENTAL, then K-hole themselves in to oblivion before the decent artists makes it to the stage (decent in my objective opinion, which is right)

Paid show was in a coffee house with my ex girlfriend staring me in the face for the whole set. She somehow sucked the energy out of the whole show...

Other group probably when that same girlfriend took me to see STARS in chicago. Sooooo many yuppies.

I was at a grindcore gig recently, four bands, with Reth headlining.

Now, I like grindcore, but one of the bands, Evisorax (incidentally, a band that everyone interested in grindcore seems to love at the moment) were not only out of tune (in a bad way) and not even trying to play in time with each other, they were cunts as well, I mean you don't call people cunts and throw things at them, and in one case, hit them with your guitar, when they have paid money to see you play.

Also they were shit, not grindcore, just messy and shit.

So many 14-15 yr olds playing green day covers and exploited covers at the squats over here. Must have been to 593 shows like this. Going to see Reagan Youth tonight though, anyone of you know if they are awesome live?

Aaron Spectres last uk jungle gig. Not his fault at all, it was at the Red Star in Camberwell which has shitty acoustics and he was playing through a fucking awful, blown techno rig. It sounded horrific, and i dragged loads of people a long way as it was his last jungle gig here....felt like a right cunt. Fuck you Red Star.

Dj Rainbow Ejeculation on crackbeats. Proberly the worst DJ in the Universe. 1 houwer of 30 second crap tracks mixt with the crosfader. It suck so hard it almost was good again.

And a show for my Art scool (examenfeest). I Playt 10 minutes of Racacore, breakcore and Hardcore when the orginizers told me that my musick was to fucking loud and ofensive.

hahahahaha I laughed nicely at this one.

Off the top of my head. Seeing Autechre open up for Tortoise. Autechre bored me to tears!!! They just hid at the edge of the stage behind their laptops and played what sounded like two 4/4 beats going slowly out of sync and eventually going full cirlce and getting back into sync...for about an hour.

The rest of the night was pretty fantastic, cept for the major let down by autechre.

worst party of allllllll ellen allien came over and my friend got robbed off his wallet and we only found his wallet and his picture...they stole his 100euros and his girlfriends picture hahaha
i only listened for 15 minutes :/
was hammered and didnt understand a thing

and the worst surprise was a few weeks a ago at the best party of my life at microfest... everything was going great 30303 rave crew acidified the place mike dred played some aphex and universal indicator classics marco passarini was good and debasser played heavy driven bass savagism....

then it was shitmats turn to destroy the venue ... after a 5 minute set the filth tried to stop him play shitmat showed his genitals to the pigs ....twice and then grabbed his laptop and smashed and didnt hear him play :/

other than that the venue was wicked and the funktion 1 sound is wicked...

now he is coming back next week that cruzy fucker henry:)

I saw Reagan Youth last tuesday. HORRIBLE.
some guys I know played as an opening act and they were MUCH better.
Original reagan youth singer died of a heroin OD a while ago so they have a new singer. And a new guitarist. The singer was a FUCKING prick, showing off and wanting all the attention. guitarist sucked ass as well but he seemed like a nice guy.

the opening act was worth the 10 eu. anyway.

haha, i saw Andrew W.K last saturday and it was frigging awesome! But the crowd sucked, bunch of "scene kids" and one guy, like 35 yrs old, fat as a fucking whale who moshed and hurt a bunch of younger kids in the pit, what an asshole, but Andrew W.K still rocked!

you should be thankful he even pressed play. and he did it just to mess with you.

i saw alkaline trio once cause they were playing with nofx and jello. alkaline trio is pretty much the lamest thing i've ever heard ever. nuff said. worse than getting my ass kicked or being surrounded by nazis honestly.
