http://www.myspace.com/baseck

seeing Baseck perform back in 2003 was the main reason i adored Breakcore.

i actually started to make breakcore in hopes that some day he would spin my music.

i always liked the fact that he would scream and mix sets with no headphones.

i was in aww of his skills.

but ever since he's been using his gameboy i just been really turned off by his performances.

i find his style very unappealing with odd lyrics and boring melodies.

I just got off tour with derrick and his sets were everything but what you just described. His album just got released so of course he is going to be playing his gameboy stuff! And the album fucking owns!..He still rips it on the decks...So lets just say he is a multi-talented artist and let him do whatever he wants..Chances are after this post non of your tunes will ever hit his platter.

What is the album called? All i've ever heard from him in the past was mix sets, some of them were brutal, he'd go from Doormouse to some Destroyer era Alec Empire seemlessly, with some wild scratching and other effects in between, I liked it. Must hear this new stuff he's recorded.

Agreed. Coming from someone who actually grew up with Derrick and learned to mix on his first set of 1200's, I can say he will never stick to a certain interest. Shit. We used to play nothing but shit loads of Drop Bass acid records extremely loud for hours and then play hip hop records to scratch on while we played with a sampler.. Always experimenting and evolving. If not, you are stagnant.

that's cool and all, i don't dislike derrick, just not a fan of the new stuff, surely everyone progress and moves on to new and better things or worse things.

not everyone can remain raw forever.

not really to worried about any of my tracks hitting any ones platter.

because i'm selfish
