use an envolope to control the pitch of a square wave OSC (ie use the envolope to get the pitch to dive quickly) - play with the decay time.... add a filter - youll get some amazing results, dont even need distortion sometimes....

WORD.

hell, i started making gabber kicks with LFO when i was bored one day. of course it was a different thing coz i didnt use the envelope, but basically by replacing the sine wave with that ((insert name here)) waveform i accidentally created some gabber-related sound and figured out how to do it.

problem is, my kicks never have punch. it's just fucked-up-distorted shit, but it doesnt sound like a kick at all. just nasty distorted CHOO CHOO CHOO CHOO... i guess i'll have to do it with about 3 layers synth and 2 layers of some processed kicksample to give it additional strength...

wait a minute, i don't *want* to do gabber kicks
gee, i talk too much.

it's not that hard man, it's simple as fuck

square wav

mod yer pitch to go from high to low really quick, then select your note as desired

bam, Gabber kick

then do a bunch of fancy shit to it, but keep your bass frequency mono.
