this is my bid to save breakcore from the onslaught of 12yrold/ADD/mspaint/4chancore that has taken over forum posts and to some extent the actual music. i vote the rest of everybody start taking themselves very seriously. through making super serious music with complex (bullshit) theory/concept behind it, we can all learn to be a bit more elitist, snobby, and generally unapproachable. we need better album art, we need to start charging for cd's, and we need cooler sunglasses and ugly yet expensive shirts, with buttons, and less jokes/samples about fucking babies/animals/johnstamos in the mouth/ass. we need to ignore kids on drugs and focus on the pussy. we need to pick obscure albums to ask people about, and then look at them like they're fucking morons if they haven't heard it.

we should all make a greater effort to show everybody they don't know anything and don't belong anywhere.

Yes, you're right, a lot of people don't seem to take much pride in their work. There's little craftmanship.

See... in a democracy everything should be fair and representative. The will of the people decides who gets in government, or what clothes are in fashion, or how breakcore should sound. The only problem with a democracy? Most people are idiots.

I know it's sad to see the music you love get polluted and destroyed by idiots, but there's nothing you can do about it except a) stop giving it attention and b) make the music you want to hear. You won't get anywhere by telling people what to make. Lead by example, make your music so fucking good that the idiots are embarrassed to compare it to their own.

I think a lot of people aren't realizing that breakcore was kind of full of that shit already...
At no point in time have I made a track with a title bearing resemblance to "I fucked a retard and shit pooped" or thought they were funny. I have seem a ton of them though and that has been spread throughout my experience on here.
I pretty much immediately adopted the "I get it your edgy because you're profane " attitude and got past it.
There are shitty groups putting out shitty songs about shit everywhere.

haha you guys are right. I can´t fucking stand some of the shit people call breakcore nowadays. A perfect example is the friggin contests, same thing, 5 out of ten submissions include something about rape, eating children or/and shit. Cant we just leave this scene and start making electro house instead?

Well, as for the contests I do find them silly but hey, it's most often the point. I won't judge anyone for entering a silly song when the contests are pretty light-hearted.

But breakcore overall is just straight up meme-core, and I find that boring. I don't think we need to get berets and "ugly yet expensive shirts, with buttons", but yes: I'd like to see some kind of "serious" alternative to memecore. Personally I've started to label my music as dnb just to distance myself from this tidalwave of crap.

But let's not fall into the pitfall of being serious all the time, that'd just be lame. I once made a track called "Nothing can defeat the penis" and I stand by it, it's funny. I just don't want those tracks to be what people remember me by.
(And no, I don't really think anyone will remember me. But you get the point)

my user name doesn't necessarily reflect the music I make (which is what I the matter at hand was)
and it's less of a reference to fecis and more that stupid thing parents do their kids (I.E. mikeypoo, kaitypoo etc.) (maybe it's regional?)
