I wouldn't lay the blame for the demise of these here forums at the door of JM...forums are on the decline worldwide..I blame Facebook. The Australian breakcore forum is dying, C8 forums are dying, it appears to be a global trend. I am not sure what the solution is...intelligent posting would be a good start - IE, posts that stimulate actual discussion rather than all the OMGLOLZ!! that were quaint and amusing oh so long ago but have now gotten majorly played out and tiresome! You COULD go and start some new communities, but that would mean little pockets of fail all over the place rather than the concentrated fail of one big breakcore forum such as this one...I think this place could be revived if there were a concerted effort to post some decent stuff. I know of one forum that is kinda small but innovative; they have been posting regular interviews with major figures in the extreme electronica / speedcore scene..why not do something similar here? Start interviewing some of the breakcore producers who are currently active and doing some good shit. People would want to read that stuff! Anyways, just my 10c worth

My new website will be featuring interviews, already got one being completed as we speak.

I fail to see how mine (and everyone elses) recollection of your flurry of personal shit the other year all over these forums demonstrates the wrong attitude on my part. I run two serious labels with physical releases, live shows, interviews, collaborations and features, and my crew have been doing this for near 10 years. That's why i'm here (If you forget the fact that i'm also dead in to this music). You run a net-label and are probably younger than me, kid.

Granted I didn't have to bring up old shit, just struck me as a tad rich so i'm not gonna be tentative in telling it how it is, if anything we need more people worming out trolls and keeping keyboard warriors on their toes cus our decaying little forum has enough rectal discharge to deal with as it is, what with 3-posters, no Moderator and a ticking domain name expiry date to bare in mind.

The fact that JM himself asked me to release an EP on Deformat (which is a net-label I believe? LOL!) is testament to the fact that the beef you speak of was well and truly quashed and also the fact that I speak to both him and Thallium quite regularly, so really I have no idea why you would want to persist with bringing it up / trying to once again provoke a conflict...yeah I run a net-label, but ask around - I am pretty sure I am a lot older than you kid...as well as running a net-label I also co-run the party crew Crack in Melbourne which has hosted shows that featured Noisekick (NL), Negrobeat (SWE) and numerous Australian artists and it will not be long until NTR itself is releasing physical releases (2011 kid!)..one of our artists Noistruct has already released 12" vinyl which you can read all about here : http://www.breakcore.com.au/forum/viewtopic.php?id=2774 but all that is beside the point..this is not about 'I'm more breakcore than you', it's about a decline in forums - not just this one, trying to re-activate quashed beef and asserting your breakcore manliness is not going to achieve anything and again - with an attitude like yours you are destined to fail kid...arrogance gets you nowhere.

Fuck this. Our forum is rotted and practically dead and there are a couple of us who rly tries to keep it alive, but if it´s just gonna be people bitchin about stuff that happened a fucking year ago, disgusting stuff, sure but it´s dated then im srsly giving up on this place.

if serious subjects are needed then quit the bullshit, ,ask a thread where u admit a curiosity that could possibly attract to answers you need, or just shoot the shit, get to know your community, ask questions about others regions hobbies, habits interests, we are blessed to have a community that unites from different regions of the world based on our common intrest of music base, vent about something maybe someone can relate to
forums are generally a wide variety of topics for the people by the people. if you guys have a label or a website, maybe you can promote this site on your site.

I think what SNAFU said is spot on...and yeah I already link this website via my website along with most other breakcore forums and sites.

Ok Dad, you obviously feel very strongly about your Breakcore credentials, highly commendable indeed, although i'm not really hear to flap my E-penis around in a stiff breeze. If you're really that old then i'm just all the more surprised at the pretty juvenile nature of your anti-Merrick campaign that you launched not so long ago, it wouldn't be so bad if it was confined to these forums but I started getting shit in my myspace inbox of all places, asking people to contribute to some Counter Merrick compilation, and again something about Thallium, miscarriages and toilets. These are people I don't even know, I don't want to log on to myspace to find invites in my inbox to some Thallium miscarriage project or whatever the hell it was. I just found it pretty ironic that you of all people were slamming childish and non-serious threads as being the staple of this forum's perceived failings.

The improvements have already been covered in an existing thread, with some ideas being bounced around and a positive and active interest on mine (and a few other's) part to create an alternative hang out (should this forum expire) being explored. For me, this is indicative of the correct attitude towards supporting the underground Breakcore scene, I don't really need to brag and name-drop in an arrogant manner (you can view some of my other threads to see the highly respected and hard-working talent we've worked with, and continue to work with) I think the fact that i'm prepared to blow hundreds of pounds sterling pushing I h8 breakcore artists, and hundreds more on a new backup community should this domain name expire, is once again indicative of my total dedication to this quaint little scene. I aint here to patronise you, but i've put a LOT in to some of the people on here and in to other Breakcore projects, so pretty please don't lecture me on correct attitudes or patronise me in such a crass and condescending tone, when i've courted far less controversy and (probably) blown way more cash on this music, which I quite literally eat, breathe and shit.


BUT, as Peadpod says a lot of people are happy here already, i'm just gonna create a second forum in the long run where people are also welcome to hang out and shoot the shit, and should this domain expire unnanounced then perhaps it will take on the responsibility of becoming a full time replacement, who knows, but like Snafu says if we want some interesting banter than the onus is on US to instigate it.

I don't think breakcore is about being funny..you go back and listen to stuff like Noize Punishment, Desert Storm Breakcore Squad, stuff on Praxis, Zhark...all the classic stuff...there was nothing cutesy about it, it was full of spite, anger, experimentation and harshness - it also had substance and meaning, it wasn't just disposable crap. I think the funny stuff came around with the advent of forums such as this one and the hordes of K-mart breakcore kids that followed in it's wake. But anyways, my 10c worth is rapidly turning into a buck 50 so I'm audi..I got dead illegitimate breakcore fetuses to salvage from toilets and whatnot..good luck with whatever it is you all decide to do whether it be to persevere with this site or strike out on your own with new ones...the breakcore movement will continue to evolve and that's the main thing that counts...it may evolve into something I do not like, but hey that's cool too.

Humorous forums and ideas do not necessarily imply an entire generation of nothing but cutesy and laughable music. Besides, if it were always serious, my interest would be lost. Likewise, if it turned into nothing but jokes, I would probably hate it far more. I prefer it being harsh and angry, but a few good laughs on the way make it interesting. If anything is going to kill this, it's people bitching at people about stupid shit. By the way, I quoted you, but I'm not pointing you out over it.
