Breakcore can only be done through an analogue desk i'm afraid, Laptop stuff just aint Breakcore mate.

Also you need a hip haircut and shit lyrics, else you aint allowed in the gang.

i have external creative xfi 5.1 usb sound card. It does not support ASIO.
in order to play live do i have to buy soundcard that suport asio? like
INFRASONIC Windy6 or any other sound cards for "music making"?

its one from Hercules, cheap as fuck but it does what i want it do.
In my program i set up some effects to glitch stuff so perfect for my "style" wich is darkstep with hardcore and breakcore mixed in to it.

In the end it doesnt matter what you use tho as long you get the crowd dancing :)

im pretty sure you can use just about any computer audio card to run ableton live...it does not have to be ASIO. if thats what you are talking about.

yeah! as far as im aware u can use pretty much any extrenal sound card with ableton and just change ur preferences, same as most programes i think. im think the only programme u need a specific soundcard for is protools but im pretty sure thats not really practical for live performance

Exactly like that/ I've got the rotary and its perfect. actually that's a lie, with FL6 some of the knobs glitch out when linked and start controlling random parameters, but it works perfect with ableton. should be noted I still use it with FL and have more than enough knobs that work fine. the BCR is prbly the most bang (bang=number of midi knobs/switches) for ur buck.

.

if you want to go cheap get the 3 korg nano type controllers...if you want to spend about twice that get a apc40.

the $$$ is buying a pcmcia or ec card with line and headphone out for monitoring. i think native instruments came out with cheap USB line/phone connector.
